Benefits
Funding to Institutions:
- ₹5,00,000/- to the host University/Institution for conducting the training for the academic year.
Disbursement:
- The full grant sanctioned is released as advance to the University/Institution. The amount spent is adjusted on the basis of the utilization certificate and detailed expenditure statement (with feedback form, proceedings, and completion report). The grant is released on the basis of the Extension of Approval (EOA) issued by AICTE for the academic year.
Training Types:
- Pedagogical Training; subject-related training (Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, etc.); training on moral values, ethics, behavioural sciences & attitude; training for orientation of newly admitted students; and training for supporting technical and administrative staff including Librarian.
Eligibility
- For Institution:
- AICTE approved institutions.
- For Faculty:
- All teachers, supporting technical and administrative staff in areas of technical education.
- Note:
- Maximum 5 proposals per institute per year (including sanctioned earlier but not completed) would be considered; however, maximum 3 proposals per institute shall be approved.
Documents required
The following documents are to be submitted by the university/institution within one month of completion of the program:
- Original Statement of actual expenditure & Utilization Certificate in the prescribed proforma, duly signed by the Head of the institution and countersigned by Registrar/Finance Officer/Govt. Auditor (for self-financing/private institutions, audited and signed/sealed by a Chartered Accountant with membership number and postal address).
- Feedback form in the prescribed proforma.
- Copy of the proceedings and completion report.
- For the Teachers: Duly filled application form; Biodata and recent photograph; Curriculum vitae highlighting relevant teaching experience and qualifications; Statement of purpose explaining interest in the chosen STTP topic; Recommendation letter from the Head of Department or Principal.

Register (New Institute):
- Visit http://portal.aicte-india.org/partnerportal_enu/start.swe and click 'New Institute'. Hover on Login, select 'Investor Login', click 'Sign Up Now', enter details, and click 'Verify' to receive an OTP.

Login & AQIS Application:
- Log in with AICTE credentials, navigate to the AQIS Application screen (details auto-populate), fill demographic and bank details, and after confirming bank details create the AQIS Application.

Select Scheme:
- Select 'SHORT TERM TRAINING PROGRAMME (STTP) (UT-J&K,LADAKH AND NER)' from the dropdown list, fill all details, validate, attach the Mandate Form, enter 'Total Funds Requested', check the declaration, save, and click 'Submit'.

Stage 1 (Institutional Proposal):
- The college/university submits a proposal online through the AICTE portal outlining the topic, objectives, resource persons, budget, and participant details.

Stage 2 (Individual Teacher Application):
- Once the institution's proposal is approved, faculty apply through the institute's internal mechanism with a duly filled application form, biodata and photograph, CV, statement of purpose, and a recommendation letter from the HoD or Principal.
