Benefits
Courses: 150-hour courses in five trades — (i) Cook – Tandoor, (ii) Barman, (iii) Baker, (iv) Homestay (Multi-Skilled Caretaker), (v) Halwai – Indian Sweets — with a built-in emphasis on hygiene, sanitation, behavior, and attitudes.
Stipend: A trainee with minimum 80% attendance is paid a uniform lump-sum stipend of ₹1,000/- (in two equal installments: ₹500 after 75 hours of training; ₹500 after the certified trainee submits feedback and self-employment status).
Certification: Trainees with minimum 80% attendance appear for the end-of-course test; those who pass are awarded a certificate under the joint signature of the Principal/Director/Institutional Head and the Programme Coordinator.
Employment Facilitation: The Implementing Agency facilitates self-employment by helping obtain loans (e.g. Mudra), licenses/registrations, and explores deployment at Mega Tourist Destinations/circuits.
Funding to the Institute: Total cost per course is ₹10,800 (training fee ₹5,000; course material ₹500; certification ₹1,000; apron ₹300; lunch ₹3,000; stipend ₹1,000) plus 5% administrative expenses (₹540) = Grand Total ₹11,340; boarding & lodging at ₹2,000/trainee for outstation candidates and advertisement costs are reimbursed separately. Funds are released to the Implementing Agencies in two installments (30% on commencement, 70% on certification and Utilization Certificate).
Eligibility
- The applicant should have passed Class 8th.
- The applicant should be above the age of 18 years.
- Note 1: A class will have a minimum of 10 trainees and a maximum of 30.
- Note 2: In case the number of eligible candidates exceeds the requirement of a batch and there is a requirement of additional batches, the Implementing Agency will concurrently or in phases run more batches depending on its institutional capacity.
- Note 3: In case of phasing, the scheduling of candidates between batches will be on first-cum-first-admitted basis. The Implementing Agency will maintain a register of applications indicating the date of receipt of each.

- ₹100/- for general candidates, a 50% fee (₹50/-) for Women and Physically Handicapped, and no fee for SC/ST candidates. The fee is accepted in cash (by the institute's Accounts Department) or as a Demand Draft in favor of the Principal of the Institute, payable at the city of the institute.
