Government of Maharashtra has approved the introduction of a new credit linked subsidy program called Chief Minister Employment Generation Program (CMEGP) for generation of employment opportunities through establishment of Micro & Small Enterprises in rural as well as urban areas in state.

Special Category (includes SC/ST/Women/Ex-servicemen/differently abled/VJNT/OBC/Minority): Beneficiary's Contribution 5% of project cost; Rate of subsidy 25% (Urban) / 35% (Rural).
Eligibility
- The age of the applicant should be between 18 to 45. For Special category (including SC/ST/Women/Ex-servicemen/Differently abled) age is relaxed by 5 years.
- The occupation of the applicant should be unemployed youth, youth willing to establish new ventures.
- Annual Income: No criteria.
- Gender: Male and Female. Marital Status: for all.
- Educational Qualification: minimum 7th standard pass for project/unit above Rs. 10 lac, and for project/units above Rs. 25 lac the required educational criterion is minimum 10th standard pass.

How to apply

Fill the online application on the portal https://maha-cmegp.gov.in.

The District Level Scrutiny and Coordination Sub-Committee (DLSCC), under the Chairmanship of the respective GM, DICs, scrutinizes the applications and prepares a primary list of eligible applicants.

The primary eligible applicants list is approved by DLTFC and forwarded to the bank.

Bank sanctioning & Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training & disbursement.

- Subsidy claim by the bank to the GM; approval of claim by HO and disbursement of margin money via the nodal bank.

On completion of three successful years of activity and timely repayment as informed by the bank, the margin money (as grant-in-aid) is re-appropriated in the applicant's loan account after confirmation/validation from GM, DIC.
