Leaked PAN and Aadhaar numbers are used for loans, SIMs and company directorships in your name. The official checks take fifteen minutes.
Loans and cards
Pull your credit report (each bureau gives one free report a year; several banks show a CIBIL score in-app). Look for loans, cards or enquiries you did not make. The AIS / TIS on the income-tax portal lists financial transactions reported against your PAN.
SIMs
Sanchar Saathi's TAFCOP (sancharsaathi.gov.in) lists every mobile number registered against your ID; report and disconnect the ones that are not yours.
Aadhaar
On myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in check the authentication history and lock the biometrics; a Virtual ID can be used instead of the number where accepted.
Company / GST
MCA's ‘Enquire DIN status’ shows directorships against your name; the GST portal's ‘Search taxpayer by PAN’ shows registrations against your PAN — report any you did not take.
